In 2023, we doubled our impact...help us complete the job!

BCLT and our partners are making miracles, with your help!

This fall, BCLT and several partners made a miracle happen when we helped approximately 60 Tacherra Ranch residents to relocate from their uninhabitable dwellings to new mobile homes on a 20-acre adjacent piece of property owned by BCLT. This would not have been possible without You - our generous donors! Thank you!

However, we must still raise an additional $300,000 for the Tacherra Ranch Emergency RV campground project. We have two challenge pledges of $150,000 each that we are seeking to match that will allow us to close the gap on that project budget and associated overhead costs by the end of 2023. We ask that in the true spirit of giving, you consider an end of year donation to the BCLT that will allow us to complete the Emergency Tacherra temporary housing project.

In other news, in September, BCLT and Habitat Greater San Francisco (HGSF) pioneered one of the very first partnerships in the nation between Habitat and a community land trust (CLT)! With Habitat’s collaboration, two young families have now realized the dream of homeownership in West Marin, at a very affordable, far-below-market rate. CLTs across California are now looking to replicate this model.

We have two more houses coming soon on Aspen Road in partnership with HGSF and we are in discussions about joining forces on our downtown eight-unit homeownership townhouse project.

In Stinson, the Stinson Beach Affordable Housing Committee is working diligently to create a much-needed new two-bedroom ADU at the BCLT's 3755 Shoreline property. This property is a small apartment building in Stinson on Highway 1 and we hope to welcome a new family home there soon.

We also recently acquired the late Alan Maxey’s home in Bolinas at 140 Maple. The great news is that this rare opportunity allowed us to keep ALL the current families and individuals housed. The hard news is that the property needs significant upgrades just to meet current standards and to be a safe dwelling for residents. This is an additional donation opportunity for those who feel strongly about the benefit of purchasing and improving existing properties!

In 2023, we have DOUBLED our size and impact, as measured by people served and housed. We thank you for your partnership, your dedication to finding homes for folks, and for your confidence in the BCLT.
